Here are the top spots we think you'll love.
Tucked away in North Seattle, Maple Leaf is a wonderful choice for families and those who love to live in tight-knit communities. Walkable, welcoming, and friendly, this charming community offers a wonderful variety of shops and restaurants as well as easy access to downtown Seattle. One of the most popular areas in the neighborhood is the Maple Leaf Reservoir Park. It covers 16 acres and includes a butterfly garden, a viewpoint where you can enjoy the sights of Mt. Rainier and Lake Washington, play area, sports courts, and ball fields.
Maple Leaf is one of the four smaller neighborhoods that makes up the Northgate neighborhood of Seattle. Northgate is in the midst of lots of wonderful redevelopment. The Northgate Mall is being revamped to include the NHL Seattle Ice Centre, which will include three ice rinks, one of which will be the primary practice training rink for the new Seattle Kraken. The redesigned area will also include housing, retail stores, hotels, and open spaces - all put together to create a walkable neighborhood. Another significant development in the neighborhood is the Northgate Link Extension, which will bring light rail to the area in 2021. A new pedestrian and bicycle bridge that traverses I-5 will help to connect the east and west sides of the community and make it even easier for everyone to access the transit center.
